Welcome to Nevada AFA. We think you will find this game to be the most player friendly game of softball you have ever played.  Though AFA Slow Pitch is in it's infant stage the Association has been around for many years. We are the Slow Pitch side of the American Fastpitch Association.

You may ask the question what does the American Fastpitch Association know about slow pitch and it's players and rightfully so. Well the founders of AFA, Terry  Fullmer and Ron Gossmer, started the association with the idea that AFA would be committed to working hard to provide an enviornment that produces postive experiences for players, coaches, parents, tournament directors and anyone else involved in the sport of softball. That philosophy has now
carried over into adult slowpitch.  Providing the most player friendly game of softball you can play. The rules and the directors are dedicated toward giving everyone involved a positive experience.

In 2008 when Lance Boyer came to me and said he was leaving another Major Assocaition to start the slow pitch side of AFA and he would like me to come along and help him get it going, I thought he was crazy. He told me that the owners of AFA were the most dedicated people he had ever met when it came to the sport of softball. Lance said, "It's our chance to help bring this game back to what it was and still can be." So out of a meeting in Las Vegas came the beginning of AFA Slow Pitch.

2008 was a great year for Nevada AFA. The teams took to the game better then our wildest dreams.  Our numbers were fantastic and state after state started coming aboard.  AFA in less then one year has Slow Pitch being played in over 8 states and is in the process of adding more.  Las Vegas will always be the home to the Nationals Finals at the end of the year and a great place to vacation at the same time. The 2008 Nationals Finals saw teams come from 20 states and over 80 teams across the divisions. We are looking forward to a constant growth to this tournament as the program grows. Thank you to all the teams that participated this year.

We are listing our 2009 Tournament Schedule. If you would like to attend one of these tournaments please feel free to give us a call for more information. If we can help you with room rates or anything we will. We want your stay to be the best it can be. We have added maps and directions to all ball parks.
